Privacy Policy

How Argonaut Solutions Inc. collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Argonaut Platform, a product of Argonaut Solutions Inc.

Effective date: July 17, 2026  ·  Argonaut Solutions Inc., a Delaware corporation

The Argonaut Platform is intended exclusively for licensed insurance professionals — including licensed brokers, agents, surplus lines licensees, carrier employees, and managing general agents. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of our platform, website, and Chrome extension.

1. Who We Are

Argonaut Solutions Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Argonaut Solutions," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the Argonaut Platform, a commercial insurance workflow platform providing AI-powered underwriting, fraud detection, broker tools, and claims intelligence to licensed insurance professionals and carriers. The Argonaut Platform is a product of Argonaut Solutions Inc.; use of the Platform is subject to a license granted under our Terms of Use. For privacy questions, contact us at support@argonautplatform.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, job title, and any professional license or credential information you provide.

Submission and Case Data

The platform processes commercial insurance submission data on your behalf — including business names, addresses, ACORD application data, loss runs, financial statements, and other information contained in submissions you process. This data is provided by you or your clients and is used solely to deliver core platform services.

Third-Party Enrichment Data

When you process a submission or case, the platform queries third-party data providers on your behalf to enrich the analysis. These sources span commercial data providers, public regulatory databases, and industry-specific data services. Categories of information retrieved may include business verification and firmographic data, regulatory compliance and enforcement records, environmental and safety data, sanctions screening, litigation records, industry benchmarks, and weather and environmental data.

Enrichment data is used solely to provide platform services and is stored on your Argonaut account in connection with the relevant submission or case.

Usage and Technical Data

We collect standard technical and usage data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, features used, and timestamps — used to operate, maintain, and improve the platform.

Chrome Extension

The Argonaut Chrome Extension is available to licensed broker users. When you actively invoke an analysis feature, the extension reads text content from the active browser tab to provide the requested analysis. It does not collect browsing history, does not run passive background surveillance, and only reads page content when you explicitly trigger an action.

Google Integrations

If you connect Google Drive, Gmail, or Google Calendar to your broker account, we access only the data necessary to provide those integrations and do not store it beyond your session unless you explicitly save a document to a case.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Delivering the platform — processing submissions, generating AI analyses, running fraud checks, producing underwriting recommendations, and all other core platform functions
  • AI processing — we use Google Gemini (via Google Cloud Vertex AI) to generate underwriting reports, fraud signals, coverage gap analyses, and related outputs. Submission and enrichment data are included in prompts to generate these outputs. Data submitted for AI processing is handled under our enterprise agreement with Google Cloud, which excludes customer data from being used to train Google's models
  • Fraud and risk detection — we combine submission data, third-party enrichment data, and AI analysis to surface fraud signals and risk indicators for your review
  • Account management — authentication, billing, support, and communications
  • Platform improvement — aggregate and anonymized usage data helps us improve accuracy and reliability. We do not use individual submission content to train AI models without your explicit consent
  • Legal compliance — we may use or disclose information as required by law or to protect our rights and the rights of our users

4. AI Processing Disclosure

The Argonaut Platform uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to analyze insurance submissions and generate risk assessments, fraud signals, and other outputs. These outputs are decision support tools only — they do not constitute professional insurance advice, binding underwriting decisions, coverage determinations, or regulatory guidance of any kind.

All underwriting decisions, coverage interpretations, and risk acceptances remain the sole responsibility of the licensed professional or carrier using the platform. AI outputs should be reviewed and validated by a qualified professional before any action is taken.

AI-assisted analysis is disclosed here as a component of the Argonaut Platform workflow, in support of insurer and licensee obligations under applicable state AI-in-insurance frameworks, including the NAIC Model Bulletin on the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems by Insurers and state-specific statutes such as Colorado S.B. 21-169.

5. GLBA and Financial Information

Argonaut Solutions acts as a service provider to licensed insurance carriers and brokers subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). We maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards for nonpublic personal information (NPI) processed through the platform, consistent with the GLBA Safeguards Rule and applicable state insurance privacy regulations. We do not sell, share, or disclose NPI for any purpose other than providing platform services, except as required by law.

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Right to know — request disclosure of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions for legal obligations and active account data
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, contact support@argonautplatform.com. We will respond within 45 days. These rights apply to your personal information as an individual account holder (e.g., your name and email address), regardless of whether you are using the Platform in a business context. They generally do not extend to business or commercial information about the entities and submissions processed through the Platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain account information for the duration of your active subscription and for seven years following termination, consistent with common insurance producer and errors & omissions record-retention standards, unless a longer period is required by law, an open claim or dispute requires extended retention, or you request earlier deletion where permitted. Submission and case data follows the same schedule; you may export case data at any time through the platform, and may request earlier deletion subject to your own recordkeeping obligations. Third-party enrichment data is retained with the associated submission record on the same timeline. Upon termination of your subscription, submission and case data will be permanently deleted from active systems within 30 days following the end of the seven-year retention period, except where retained copies are required by law, needed for an open claim or dispute, or exist in encrypted backups subject to standard backup rotation.

8. Security

The Argonaut Platform is built on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of information. To report a suspected security incident, contact support@argonautplatform.com.

9. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — we share data with our infrastructure provider and third-party data providers solely to provide platform services
  • Within your organization — data is shared with other authorized users within your firm or carrier account as configured by your administrator
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or regulatory order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Argonaut Solutions, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, customer data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality obligations

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies and local storage to maintain your authenticated session and save in-progress work. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral advertising cookies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
